Lyle's tips for landing Bass

Water temp 62( too warm for trolling bass ) Foul hooked a dozen small 8" bunker using 2oz lures with trebel hooks & put them in my live well. Used what I had available ....a fluke rig with 30 inch leader ( just a standard short shank fluke sized hook) & a bunker hooked at

the dorsal fin, 3 way swivel, plain 4 oz wt, should have used a " fish finder setup", which allows bass to take bait & feel no resistance due sinker but my wt was fixed!! Then I tossed it in the bunker school and we, I had 2
friends with me, proceeded to catch 5 nice bass to 12lbs!! I've never done it
this way before.

JOKES Back to top

A woman is in bed with her lover who also happens to be her
husband's best friend. They make love for hours, and
afterwards, while they're just laying there, the phone rings.

Since it is the woman's house, she picks up the receiver.
Her lover looks over at her and listens, only hearing her
side of the conversation...

(She is speaking in a cheery voice)

"Hello? Oh, hi. I'm so glad that you called. Really?
That's wonderful. I am so happy for you. That sounds
terrific. Great! Thanks. Okay. Bye bye." She hangs up
the telephone and her lover asks, "Who was that?"

"Oh" she replies, "that was my husband telling me all
about the wonderful time he's having on his fishing trip
with you."

Catch and Release - A conservation motion that happens most often
right before the local Fish and Game officer pulls over a boat that
has caught over it's limit.

Hook - (1) A curved piece of metal used to catch fish. (2) A
clever advertisement to entice a fisherman to spend his live savings
on a new rod and reel.

Line - Something you give your coworkers when they ask on Monday
how
your fishing went the past weekend.

Lure - An object that is semi-enticing to fish, but will drive an
angler into such a frenzy that he will charge his credit card to the
limit before exiting the tackle shop.

Reel - A weighted object that causes a rod to sink quickly when
dropped overboard.

Rod - An attractively painted length of fiberglass that keeps an
angler from ever getting too close to a fish.

School - A grouping in which fish are taught to avoid your $29.99
lures and hold out for spam instead.

Tackle Box - A box shaped alarmingly like your comprehensive first
aid kit. Only a tackle box contains many sharp objects, so that
when you reach in the wrong box blindly to get a Band Aid, you soon
find that you need more than one.

Test - A measure of your creativity in blaming "that damn line"
for once again losing the fish.

After a day fishing in the ocean a fisherman is walking from the pier
carrying two lobsters in a bucket. He is approached by the Game
Warden who asks him for his fishing license.

The fisherman says to the warden, "I did not catch these lobsters, they
are my pets. Everyday I come done to the water and whistle and these
lobster jump out and I take them for a walk only to return them at the
end of the day."

The warden, not believing him, reminds him that it is illegal to fish
without a license. The fisherman turns to the warden and says, "If you
don't believe me then watch," as he throws the lobsters back into the
water.
The warden says, "Now whistle to your lobsters and show me that
they will come out of the water."

The fisherman turns to the warden and says, "What lobsters?"

A keen Texas lad applied for a salesman's job at a city department
store. It was the biggest in the world and sold everything under the
sun.
"Have you ever been a salesman before?" the boss asked during his
interview.
"Yes, I was a salesman in Texas," the lad answered. The boss took an
immediate liking to him and told him he could start the next day.
"I'll come and see how you made out after we close up," the boss said.
The day was long and hard for the young man but finally it was 5
o'clock.
The boss closed up the store and found the lad sitting, slumped and
exhausted, in a chair. "How many sales did you make today?" the boss
asked.
"One," said the lad.
"One?" said the boss, obviously displeased. "Most of the sales people
on my staff make 20 or 30 sales a day. How much was the sale
worth?"
"Exactly $101, 334.53," said the young man.
"How did you manage that?!?" asked the boss, flabbergasted.
"Well," said the lad, "this man came in and I sold him a small fish hook,
then a medium fish hook, and finally a really large fish hook. Then I
sold him a small fishing line, a medium one, and a huge one. I asked
him where he was going fishing, and he said he was going down the
coast. I said he'd probably need a boat, so I took him down to the
boat department and sold him that fancy 22-foot Chris Craft with twin
engines. Then he said his Honda Civic probably wouldn't be able to
handle the load, so I took him to the vehicle department and sold him a
new GMC 1-ton pickup truck."
"You sold all that to a guy who came in for a fish hook?" the boss
asked in astonishment.
"He didn't come in to buy a fish hook," the Texas boy explained. "He
came in to buy a box of tampons for his wife. So I said to him, Your
weekend's shot. You might as well go fishing."

THE PARROT

A lady was walking down the street to work and she saw a
parrot on a perch in front of a pet store. The parrot said
to her, "Hey lady, you are really ugly." Well, the lady is
furious! She stormed past the store to her work.

On the way home she saw the same parrot and it said to her,
"Hey lady, you are really ugly." She was incredibly ticked
now. The next day the same parrot again said to her, "Hey
lady, you are really ugly."

The lady was so ticked that she went into the store and said
that she would sue the store and kill the bird. The store
manager replied profusely and promised he would make sure the
parrot didn't say it again.

When the lady walked past the store that day after work the
parrot called to her, "Hey lady."

She paused and said, "Yes?"

The bird said, "You know."
